FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY

A National Park entry ticket, a life vest and a buoy with a flag are essential for snorkelling in the Park, without supervision, if you go beyond the end of the main town pier. The National Park guards and all the boat captains and guides have the responsibility to ensure these measures are respected.

Please help us take care of the reef and the mangrove:

IT’S STRICTLY PROHIBITED :
1. to stand on or take hold of the coral reefs
2. to fish for, to collect, to disturb or to keep any marine organism found in the Park (fishes, corals, shells, winkles, starfish etc.)
3. to carry, spears, hooks, harpoons or explosives
4. to carry gloves or knives (Divemasters and instructors may register these items for use within the Marine Park)
5. to disturb or remove flora and fauna from their refuges
6. to feed any fish or animal in the Marine Park
7. to dispose of any type of solid waste in the ocean
8. to dump fuel, grease, oil or any other liquid substance into the ocean
9. to use sunblock or suntan oils which are not biodegradeable
10. to drop anchors at the reef or chain anchors to the reef
11. to use jet skis, speed boats or other motorised sports in the Park

Please avoid kicking deeply in the seas as the sediment raised can smother organisms living in the reef.

Additionally, there are many regulations that apply to boat owners and captains some of which are:
. only licensed captains can take tourists to the reef
. there must be a guide for each group of 8 as well as a captain
. all snorkellers must where life vests
. the guide must keep snorkellers in one group under his/her supervision
. no-one is to leave the group or return to the boat without supervision
. snorkellers must not to stand on the sea floor or touch the reef
. each snorkeller must pay a 20 pesos contribution to the Park

Please enjoy our National Park, and the beauty within it, that remains protected with your help

Thanks
